Bike Ride from Lands End to John O’Groats – No Motorways!

End to End MS Society and Cancer Research

My adopted big brother Simon is currently doing a bike ride from Lands End to John O’Groats – not using any motorways. He set off with four mates from the Red Lion Pub in Birmingham on Saturday and they arrived in Lands End on Saturday evening ready to start their trip on Sunday morning.

Why are they doing this?

Well someone very close to Simon and myself was diagnosed with MS (Multiple Sclerosis) last year. It affected us a lot but I’m very proud of how they have handled it and shes really been an inspiration to myself.

It really highlighted how little attention MS Charities got in the UK so the idea was born to raise some money for the MS Society. Simon has always been a very keen biker and with the help of a few friends and family, came up with the idea of a charity bike ride. The obvious route in the UK is from Lands End to John O’Groats which is 900+ miles. But to add a bit of a twist, Simon decided to bike the route not using any motorways which makes the route a lot longer and harder.

The money raised will also be split with Cancer Research so all money raised is going to great causes in the UK.
